Andrew Chalmers - Executive Director & Chairman, BBS (Hons), MBS (Hons)

Andrew been involved in the New Zealand forestry industry for the last 13 years as Chairman of HarvestPro NZ Ltd, and is a founding Director. From mid 1997, Andrew worked in the travel wholesale and travel technology industry in Australia, holding the position of Chief Executive and Group Managing Director, for Pacific International Limited (ASX:PIL) based in Sydney until resigning in April 2002 and returning to New Zealand . Pacific International Limited had over 550 staff and revenues in 2002 of $28O mlllion NZD. During 1994 to 1997 he held the position of Associate Lecturer with the School of Banking and Finance at the University of NSW in Australia, teaching in investment analysis, international finance, treasury management and foreign exchange risk management at both graduate and undergraduate level. In addition, through Pounamu International Limited, a privately held company, he also provides consultancy expertise and advisory in forestry, travel/tourism, treasury management, foreign exchange risk management and fuel price risk management.

Graham Mackinnon - Joint Managing Director

Graham Mackinnon has been working for Smith & Davies for over 32 years since leaving school. He worked in their administration department between 1979 and 1990 and then moved on to General manager between 1990 and 2004. In 2004 he and Bob Grove bought out the company and he has been a Director since then. Over the past seven years he has been instrumental in growing Smith & Davies turnover by over 150%while also increasing diversification and robustness of servlces. Throughout his career he has been involved in many aspects of the industry acting as Chairman of the Auckland Road Transport Association from 2002 to 2006, Chairman of the New Zealand Road Transport Assoclatlon Training Committee (NZRTA) and President of the NZRTA, Northern Region from 2003 to 2006. In this position he played a key role in developing training for the workplace rather than having to go offsite for training, giving drivers the skills they need in the field relevant to the job they are carrying out day to day. He has vast transport knowledge and experience, especially in the areas of logging, bulk transport and heavy haulage.

Zane Cleaver - Joint Managing Director, BFS

Zane Cleaver has accumulated 20 years experience in the forestry industry in all facets of operations, marketing and management. He graduated in 1987 with a Bachelors of Forestry Science from the University of Canterbury and commenced a 5 year appointment as Harvest Planning Manager for Fletcher Challenge Forests. He then worked for 2 years with SGS in Papua New Guinea working for the European Union Funded Log Export Monitoring Program. This has given Zane substantial international exposure to knowledge of contract negotiations, log markets and export techniques. After another year at Fletcher Challenge Forests after his return to New Zealand, Zane was one of the founders of Harvest Planning New Zealand (which is now HarvestPro NZ Ltd) and has served as Managing Director since inception. Formed originally as a service provider to the forestry industry in the forest engineering arena, Harvest Planning concluded its obligations to Carter Holt Harvey Forests in mid 2004. Prior to the completion of this contract and as part of the growth strategy, the HarvestPro group under Zane's directorship expanded into Harvesting Operations. Zane's knowledge and experience is frequently called upon by other members of the industry and has been requested on occasion to give expert opinions.

Bob Grove - Executive Director

Bob Grove has been with Smith & Davies 21 years having joined in 1990 from trucking and transport roles in the Pacific Regions. He acted as General Manager, contracting from 1990 to 2004. During that period he worked closely with the previous owner Glyn Davies, expanding the contracting business info the largest privately owned contracting and cartage business in Auckland specialising in high profile pro]ects such as Britomart Rail and Northern Bus Lane Transport Network. In 2004 Bob purchased Smith and Davies along with Graham MacKinnon. As Managing Director he has continued a very hands on management role, expanding the business in Auckland and the North having successfully completed many diverse projects such as Orakie Marina, marine beach reconstructions and Transit NZ Reading Contracts & Ontrack Rail projects. During this period he also worked closely with Graham to grow the Log cartage business throughout the Northern region.

Haruyuki Takeda - Non-Executive Director

Haruyuki Takeda has been with ITOCHU corporation for 26 years and is currently the General Manager of Wood Products and Materials Department. He has obtained significant international marketing and trade experience working for ITOCHU corporation in the USA. Haruyuki san has been instrumental in the development of ITOCHU corporation softwood trade business.
